Softbank's reluctance a bullish sign?

Personally I am glad that Masayoshi Son doesn't want to lighten up his share of ETrade. ETrade might really be better off without the deal at this point, as the WSJ points out. I think they are letting the clock tick down so that ETrade can walk away from the deal. Plenty of time to set up a bank in the new year, and for less trouble and money...

The solution seems to be for SBC to lighten up on EGRP

I agree! We are going to find out how BAD Softbank wants this deal in the next couple of weeks......... We are talking 2% here.

As far as stock price, I say we move UP with or w/out the deal

JMHO.......... remember, I rooted for the Faclons in the Superbowl and the Braves in the world series!
