The cache tells QCharts to hold chart data in your local computer's RAM for a set amount of time. While the restriction seems low, when taken into account that RAM is used for caching and that every chart/T&S is attempted to be cached, it should seem more in line with reason. It is actually to prevent QCharts from overtaking your PC, and possibly hindering your overall system performance. This doesn't cause the missing charts though, but it can help.

If you were to log in before the market opened and the chart was able to be cached, then QCharts will hold it for as long as your system allows it to up to the amount specified in your preferences. Try it and see if it works for you.
