Why would we tamper with it? For the same reason we tampered with all-white English faculties in the 70s. Even those touting affirmative action couldn't find enough qualified college professors to make a representative proportion. So the colleges were dinged for being discrimnatory. If members of one race tend to be better at certain athletic skills, why do we refuse to accept members of another race may be tend to be better at teaching college English? After all, the brain is an organ just like the heart, lungs, skin, etc.
