And, top of the morning to you sweet Rose ;o)) !

Your IRS is known as SARS here -- South African Revenue Services.

Re Harmony, where I happen to be a shareholder, I don't think refining and/or fabrication will significantly add to profits/costs in the forseeable future. There are serious problems to confront with gold fabrication where, as you know, most goes into jewellery. And in jewellery, as you know, fashion and other intangibles are usually more important than the amount of metal in the object. In the past, local producers found it easier to export to Italy where most fabrication is done. It will not be easy for South Africans to emulate the Italians when it comes to haute couture .

IMO Harmony is probably the best SAf low-grade gold proposition. Management is progressive and, of importance, they play "open cards" --- not like Mr Kebble of DRD, Western Areas and Randfontein fame. Of course, I can't tell you whether or when you should buy the shares.

Trust you are keeping well

PS. I like that wee blow by blow idea but not when I have to do it!
