Thanks, Searle, for the information. I see you have no love lost for Mr. Keeble<g>

Interesting but I just took a broad swipe at him on the "other" thread just now. What a joke!!!

I will mull over your haute couture reflection. While I'm aware of the wholesale=2x intrinsic standard, while retail is 4x to whatever-the-traffic-will-bear standard, I'm not sure I agree with your conclusion. Possibly there is a market for African's selling African gold to African tastes. As I recall, there is a rich adornment history in your fine land. In POF, I seem to recall African artisans were among the first anywhere to hammer it so thin as to be able to 'leaf' wooden ornamentation at will.

Speaking of traffic...how's the "advertising" biz treating you?

Regards

Searle,
We "spoke" some time ago of brandy. The other day, I found yet another profit from the high (over valued?) US dollar along the same lines.
Picked up a 1.75L. of El Presidente Pedro Domecq for only $12.75 for a seasonal treat. There are good things amid the bad.

I'm wondering if there is just a low demand for good to great imported Brandy's which are not "cognnac"? Is it possible the Internet valuations have slipped into so many other items that true quality in life can not be determined by many of the rich of the current age? They may only know name & price.

Could we make a mint worth of wealth by simply raising the price of anything unknown to extreme levels?
