OT Mars ..and would be better left to private sector
And what private company is going to send a spaceship to Mars? Now? - You must be kidding. It's reasonable to debate whether the govt. should send one or not, but I can't beleive you think some startup is going to go looking for water on Mars.

OT

But still theft for projects that many of us do not want to fund..and would be better left to private sector who could afford it if we werent taxed every time we turn around.
But I'm still thankful for being able to make money in Qualcomm...and I love those LEAPS!!!!

There are lots of programs to complaing about...but NASA? They have repaid their funding through their scientific discoveries easily....

Where do you think that Qualcomm got it's funding prior to the commericialization of CDMA? Omnitracks, which is a satellite based system....very unlikely that any company had the resources in the sixties to do the basic research which would allow the exploitation of space that has currently developed.
