Keeping beer cool is not a problem until about May in the Great White North.
On the other hand mango trees don't produce well. You win some, you lose some.

Once i was trying to explain snow to my neighbour near the seventeenth parallel of latitude. He thought skiing looked like it could be fun, if only it was .... well, warmer. People would have to wear too many clothes, and would feel restricted. He has likely never worn a coat, just rarely a sweater, and didn't believe my description of long underwear. Pictures of me digging my pickup out of the three feet of snow that had fallen on it overnight appalled him, he didn't see how anybody could live like that. At the time he was battling a serious infestation of fire ants in and around his house, and i pointed out that places that had snow didn't have fire ants. He thought that was too high a price to pay, ants weren't all that bad.

I've just decided for various reasons [no, y2k not among them] not to go south this year until well after New Year's. For this i nominate myself as a moron.

And perhaps for responding earlier to Cheeky's and my old friend -g-
