Gibbons, Well we will probably always disagree on the source of the Quote.com problems, and how Quote.com has handled them. But, I appreciate that you're here making constructive comments, and don't want to tangle with a nice guy when he's "attending his own funeral", which is being put on with well-earned high honors :) You make the point that if users had a different path through the internet, through smart routing, a different ISP, whatever, then they may have less problems. Although there may be some improvement from that, I'm setting right next door to you here in Palo Alto on a T1 line, boutique zero-packet-loss ISP and that's not good enough to get basic charting. There are many other QCharts subscribers having these problems around the country -- like the guy who arrived on the onelist thread Friday, exclaiming amidst profanity "it's 15 minutes to the close and no charts again -- can't you guys just fix it?". My point is that there are real problems with the servers (capacity or whatever), and it is NOT really the QC users connectivity problems, or their ISP's that is at the root of that. I guess we'll just continue to disagree on that basic point. WRT Quote.com's service, I'm not trying to accuse you or Quote.com of dishonesty or deception... it's just I first started complaining about these problems on the thread, I was met by attacks from the defenders, and there was nothing to be heard from Quote.com. At the same time, Quote.com has been not answering their their tech support phone #. Finally, Quote.com stepped in and admitted the real situation, which has been quite obvious to me all along, just based on the symptoms I've observed and reported. In my view as a customer, these ARE severe problems, Gibbons -- sitting here in Palo Alto, QCharts simply hasn't work very well recently. It's been unusable for trading most of the time over the past month. Glad to hear the problem has been narrowed down to inadequate server capacity, as that's fixable. Great to hear you expect performance to improve in the short-term! Anyway all this is submitted respectfully, and I wish you the best in your new endeavors! -Steve
