If we follow the money regarding HDR, we can see why there will be companies who are concerned about the implementation of data and why we should expect more confusion and doubt to be spread.

This is probably the best explanation that I have heard....it definitely makes sense for Nortel. Cisco is in a grey area since they dont have a wireless infrastructure business but HDR definitely has the potential to hurt V-OFDM.

However it doesnt really apply to US West....of course the quote I am citing was an anonymous source and may not be representative of US West. Hopefully more trials will be announced, particuluarly with PCS. If HDR does everything as promised the operators should end up clamoring for it....
