Laywer story.

My mother told of a man driving his wagon down the street of their town when a dog ran out and started snapping at his horse. He yelled at the guy goin the other way "What can I do about this?" The other guy, who happened to be the town's lawyer yelled back "Shoot it!" A few days later, the lawyer sent a bill.

I don't know if the story is true or if my mother was trying to teach us to be careful as we go about our daily routine. The story was told over forty years ago, but took place before the widespread use of horseless carriages.

Cheers, PW.

P.S. For balance, I was going to include a 'good lawyer' story too, but couldn't remember any.
