Hi stock leader and all, I have to agree that all opinions whether bullish or bearish should not only be welcome regarding Go2Net but should be encouraged. The more information posted on the board by and for investors, the better. Investing and trading can be a very emotional experience (though that breaks one of my trading rules as listed in my profile!). Consequently, posts can escalate pretty quickly from merely stating opinions into heated arguments containing personal attacks that have nothing to do with the original topic at hand. No one has to agree with anyone, but everyone ought to show enough professionalism and respect to prevent the thread from becoming and insult-o-rama. IMO, this thread shows a lot of community, friendliness, and warmth. This is great! It can be somewhat cliquish, particularly to those on the 'outside' who don't have the time or perhaps the need to engage in a lot of off topic chat. This can create friction, and a schism could easily result which would defeat the intent of the thread. I know many of you guys personally and truly believe that this is a wonderful group of people so I'd hate to see that happen here. Some really active threads have died due to exactly this sort of thing. It's a real loss for the community when that occurs and could easily have been avoided. The quickest way to extinguish any behavior is of course to simply ignore it. I don't personally use the 'ignore' feature as I just click over posts I don't care to read, but it's there for those who want to use it. Please take it to pmail if it's not an on-topic remark and fight it out there. When the main thread is cluttered with off topic chat or flames, it really makes it difficult for many to get to the information that they have come to find. Let me say that I have engaged in a couple of flame wars myself :-o. Though those were more 'on topic' and addressed particular aspects of the company, I admit freely to having slammed particular posters and I got slammed as well. Though they got pretty intense, they fortunately were resolved in a very friendly fashion and were for the most part pretty hilarious. So please don't think I'm passing judgement, I've been there. I am not sure that what we have here is the same thing, though, and my concern is that petty attacks totally unrelated to GNET will begin to surface again and it's just not conducive to the purpose of the thread. Anyway, feel free to disagree though my intention isn't to further clutter the thread with a ton of discussion on this topic. The Go2Netrillionaires thread would be a good place to do that or pmail:Subject 29200 My best to everyone, really.
