Justa re<<<I think FMKT may be going tomorrow.>>>>

the following says FMKT will be out Thursday. Do you have better information? So far Schwab doesn't look like they're getting a piece.

Justa, re: "BTW, I have decided to put some money to work in the energy sector tomorrow. I see the sector as historically undervalued in some areas. I also see the possibility of Y2K $30 oil for a short time. If not, the worldwide recovery should provide improving fundamentals for selected companies. All this is in part of an effort to diversify away from technology a bit."

I'd be interested to hear what areas you're looking at. I've moved a little into major integrated companies the past month. Right now I don't have any stake in the independent producers or the service companies.

Anyone for a 'buying opportunity'?

Re: "..So lets say sometime very early in '2000' we should have the markets pushing new highs, bullish sentiment at extreme levels while the Fed will be trying to cut the money supply sharply and we will be seeing that early year profit taking.

Sounds like the set up for possible major problems in the market..."

How about if we add add the FED returning to a tightening bias on 21. Dec followed by a rate increase on 2 Feb. 2000 ?(spurred on by early signs of wage inflation - caused by the affects of a number of union contract wage increases kicking in, etc.)....

That scenario might insert some fear in to this fearless market (i.e., when will the FED stop raising rates.....)
