Kevin,

Nor do I.

For athm it looks more like the rug pull Ah alluded to. It sure helps T's image with open access and may be an attempt to boost T's share value. It also stands to help athm achieve what T and athm both really need to have happen: fast sub roll out.

T may do well with the news, athm will profit from the renewed focus, we may suffer in the short term with another ‘cloud of speculation' over us. Dang!

Cox can blow them out *if* they fail to meet numbers of subs on target dates. They already blew one date but Cox agreed to hang in with exclusivity. I'm not sure if the other companies have such clauses or not (Daddy, is there really a 'Sanity Claus'?).

Cox Communications can waive the exclusivity of the AtHome contract if subscriber penetration targets are not met. At June 4, 1999 these hurdles were not met, but Cox waived their right. Opening up the network to other ISPs would likely only put AtHome further behind in reaching these goals.

With all the decent news coming and the possibility of share appreciation, I don't see it happening on the 'morrow. Subs top 1 mil. Positive earnings. FCC happy with current exclusivity. Easier installs coming.

Mutual funds are almost starting to look good again.

Good luck.
