It wasn't just QCOM. My mind digest lots of small snippets of info. to give me a vague idea of the big picture, and I remember hearing about a fatter wireless pipes for all the wireless/cell companies. Aren't technology stocks great! Almost no one really has the background to really comprehend them. And just last week Cisco announced wireless broadband that did not require line of sight like current technology. I have wireless cable here in New Orleans, and BellSouth picked New Orleans (and Miami) because they have NO HILLS. And I understand the same technology is used for wireless broadband.
