SEEC

Bernard, Why did you buy SEEC? Are you in for the long-term, or is it a short-term trade for you?

I bought at 5 1/2 in July of 98 after the precipitous drop from about 12. Sold some on the spike to 11 (I sold at about 9 on the way down), but held the balance of the shares because I thought the company would do well. Earnings reports over the last year have shown I was "optimistic". I didn't know what to make of the purchase of Mozart...seemed positive, but I'm really looking for an opportunity to close out my position. I think they are fairly valued about where they are, but I'd like to get the highest possible price in the near term (<3 months). I thought I'd ask Jim for his analysis (or run an analysis for myself using his methodology.)

If someone knowledgeable about the fundamentals or the technicals told me it was going to 50, I'd have no problem checking things out carefully and holding, but since I've come to the conclusion that the management is a few fries short of a happy meal, I thought I'd clean that one out of the account and see what else I could buy to get into trouble.

BTW, I enjoy your posts and picks on this thread...JBK
