I squashed the bug 'cause I thought it might sneak up and crawl on me sometime. That's my game plan and I'm stickin' with what got me here.

I just got an idea that might return things to the natural order (AND satisfy the concerns of Lizzie and others re. drug prices and distribution).

Let's encourage Eco-SWAT teams to storm pharmacies everywhere and flush ALL the drugs down the toilet. Human numbers will soon fall into a sustainable range. Until then, bugs will just have to take their chances.

This will seriously screw up the economy of Puerto Rico, you understand.

<< We can drive any species [ save the microbs ] to extinction as we wish. >>

I would say you should also exclude the order Insecta. Some biologists have said this should be considered not the age of mammals or man, but of insects. The are by far the most numerous animals on earth and have more species than all others combined.

Maybe the game has been won- -but not by us.
