FYI ALL : A sample Europe internet stock portfolio

look at the 52 week range on ENON ENONW.

There are many not on this list that are trading on various European NASD equivalents such as the NUER (Germany), there is Asia-Pacific too.

Turn the clock back 2 years on these markets, compare with the run on inets here in the USA.

Baby boomers will not let US car companies "off the hook" for perceived problems in the 80's but the Gen-xer don't see it that way..They see US autos as "cool"...

This had not crossed my mind. . .I guess it is true. I am still mad about the new cars I bought in the 70's and 80's, where you go to roll down the window and the handle comes off. . . then you turn on the heater and the the handle comes off. . .etc. . . .it definitely sticks in the mind and causes prejudice.

However, the last 3 weeks I drove a 2000 Chrysler Intrepid and it seemed to be built nice and tough. . .for the most part, as tight as a new Mercedes . . . this week, I am driving a 2000 Regal LS. . .by GM. . .and am equally impressed. Next will be a Ford product. . . which do you recommend?

A similar factor as your point is that when we were kids, there were GM, Ford and Chrysler. . . and you could name their entire product line. . . .then the imports arrived, forcing diversification by the big 3. Now there are about a hundred car makers with literally thousands of models. So for the most part, those under age 25 see the market as a palette of colors, from which they can express their personalities. And U.S. and Asian cars are all seen in the same light. . . ."if it looks cool and suits my needs, I like it."

Which brings us full circle. . . ."How important is energy efficiency to those under age 30?" More or less than to those from say 30 to 50?
That number may better reveal demand, which of course will drive the market.

I am attending an Auto Show this weekend. . . so that I can see these exciting new hybrids first hand. . . .as well as those amazing concept cars. Gotta love that new retro styled Thunderbird coming next year.
