*Data in Globalstar* Stephen, the first constellation is too slow for anything except goofing around with email and faxes. Constellation2 will only be 384kbps [as far as I know anyway], so still a long way short of 3G and HDR. This is a voice network for a few years yet. But there is heaps of demand for voice at the right price. China is rumbling over CDMA but no real action yet though the trends are okay. Maurice PS: Sorry ccryder, Re gateways in operation, sure there are several up and running in the functional sense, but none are in operation as far as customers are concerned. There are heaps of 'friendly' users all over the world. But that's no use to shareholders. Gateways are service providers - none are in operation in the customer sense.
