Matt,

Although I have no experience with PFG I'd be very surprised if they are not willing to work with you on this incident. With time and sales available along with an order number trades are really simple to track.

Your experience isn't unique. I began online trading in the early nineties on a DOS platform with a 2400 modem and have participated as an active trader since. I'm involved with a group of traders that are doing literally hundreds of trades each day using the latest technology available. Equities and futures. We have expectations and depend on the T-1 lines, sat feeds, switches, routers, order routing software, order catching software, the PC's etc. But so much can go wrong. And does. Honestly, how can it not? I personally lost some ND's within some routing software recently that would make any trader sit up and pay attention, a trade that may even change ones definition of slippage. From my view, not pleasant, but part of the game.

I sympathize with your losses, but we as online traders have to understand these risks. We have come a long way in a few years and my feeling is these fragile systems will get nothing but better as time passes.

I am not a ZAP user but think you'll like them as LFG has a good handle on the tech and back office procedures as well as the Leoweb execution platform being a good product.

I might also mention that I have offset acts with two different desks. And a spare cell phone handy <g>

Best regards,

nextrade!
