Wow, digging around at the Thermo Electron site the first words to come to mind are: Evil Empire <gg>

They juggle around companies that would make a circus performer envious.

Looking at the TOC 10Q:
Yes, VG Semicon is doing well, unfortunately it is a small percentage of the total company. Some other divisions are doing well too but as a group it's been about flat due to the drop off in spectroscopy demand (really?).

Overall I wasn't impressed one way or the other.

Looking at TMO it looks like the halcyon years were 92 to 96.

PANL seems to have exploded! I thought the patents just announced might be worth a play but now I am wondering if maybe they have something that will make it go like KOPN? Unfortunately I only made a token investment! the trouble with low priced stocks is that they invite token investments ala lottery tickets!

Any opinion ?
