So ATHM is going to be in the "out" crowd yet again for a while. Obviously the market took recent events in its typical mindless fashion.

Anyone want to guess what happens to the stock price now?

My bet: drifting aimlessly between the low 40's and low 60's for another 4-6 months. Sigh.

The best thing I can see about this is that the only shareholders left will be the ones who "get it". Who understand that exclusivity is not a God given eternal right and that competiton and being allowed to spread to new markets is GOOD.

A simple example: Now ATHM can serve Media One properties (with or without a merger with RR). Anyone know how long RR is exclusive to Media One? (assuming they are).

Afterhours = 46.75

I know ATHM doesn't need AOL. I know AOL doesn't need ATHM. BUT, I sure wish AOL would buy ATHM, and they would both snub their noses at AT&T. After AT&T breaks off their wireless, I'll bet the rest of the company will lose valuation. If AOL would take up ATHM, this party would fly right on by the AT&T snob.

I remain,

SOROS
