Hi Matt, I've been busy with the business and trading some stocks. Canadian stocks are really starting to heat up. We have a new exchange in Canada called the CDNX. It looks like a lot of the action from the US BBs will be moving up here to the CDNX exchange. Pretty scary stuff really ... we're not used to trading stocks that behave like the OTC BBs. It's fun too but we are being cautious at first.

Interesting stuff, eh?

(QPIX) YARC reveals details of its LINUX Color Server technology

(QPIX) YARC reveals details of its LINUX Color Server technology

CAMARILLO, Calif., Dec 7, 1999 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- In response to
numerous investor requests, YARC Systems Corp. (OTCBB:YARC) today
revealed details of the LINUX Color Server technology it has developed
for the Digital Imaging industry.

Three years ago, in 1996, at a time when few had even heard of the
LINUX Operating System, YARC decided to switch its Color Server
development efforts to LINUX. By December of that year the product had
developed sufficiently for it to be demonstrated to the public during
an exhibition at Tokyo's Makuhari Convention Center.

YARC was the first company in the Digital Imaging community to adopt
LINUX, and YARC has been steadily accumulating expertise, not only with
the software needed to connect the servers to the Internet, but also
with improved manufacturing methodologies.

Two days ago YARC announced its ongoing merger and acquisition
strategy. LINUX is a critical element of that strategy. YARC intends to
identify those companies in its industry who have good revenues and
whose bottom line can be quickly improved by the injection of YARC's
technical expertise. YARC expects to make further announcements on this
issue within the next few days.

Technical Details:

The version of LINUX that YARC has chosen is similar to Red Hat
(Nasdaq:RHAT) LINUX, but it has unique features that are especially
useful in embedded systems and Color Servers.

"LINUX gives our servers better reliability than any other operating
system," commented Dr. Trevor Marshall, YARC's Chairman and CEO. "We
recently found a YARC Color Server which had been connected to the
Internet for 9 months without being rebooted once!"

Each YARC Color Server has a built-in APACHE Web server. APACHE is the
Web server software currently in use at over 50% of all Internet Web
sites. Although the use of APACHE may seem overkill in an office
environment, the features it provides, such as the delivery of Dynamic
Content, are a critical component of YARC's successful transition to an
Internet delivery model for the printshop of the future. Dynamic
Content allows every HTML page produced by the server to be unique,
customized for both the browser and the user that has requested it.

One YARC LINUX server can thus support users operating in multiple
languages. For example, one user can select the French language menus
at the same time that another user is operating the same server with
English language dialogs.

This multi-language capability is critical to success in the Internet
environment, which is, by its very nature, without national borders. It
is built into every color server that YARC ships.

YARC is the only Color Server manufacturer which can provide complete
remote technical assistance and problem diagnosis over the Internet.
(see press release dated 11 Jan 1999 at yarc.com
)

YARC has placed one of its own Color Servers onto the Internet at
yarcxp.com so that the industry can evaluate the manner in which
the Dynamic Page Content served by APACHE easily integrates into a
Printing Industry workflow. Some system functions are protected with
passwords, but much of the server's functionality is available for
evaluation by the public.

About YARC ( yarc.com )

YARC has developed proprietary LINUX software that integrates
Printing technologies with the Internet and Internet Browsers. YARC's
proprietary version of Adobe Systems' "PostScript" Printer Description
Language (PDL) is used to transfer images from a computer, over a
network such as the Internet, to a printing engine. Any computer image,
whether it comes from a digital camera, a scanner, or a professional
paste-up, can be printed onto paper using YARC's RIPs for desktop
printers, color copiers, or the wide format printers that make POS
display signage. YARC's E-Commerce Server is at
secureshop.yarcrip.com.

At this date YARC Systems has 20,448,021 shares of common stock issued
and outstanding, 23,327,087 million on a fully diluted basis. The
number of shares in the public float is just over 12 million. YARC
Officers and Management own 34% of the issued and outstanding common
stock. The above totals include the shares being used to acquire
Quality Photographic Imaging. There have been delays in the filing of
this merger with the State of California brought about by incorrect
processing of the 1987 merger that created QPI.
