Len: DS's posting was to bp and me. I had mentioned the dilemma I now have moving shares of NTAP from my regular to my Roth IRA. I had intended to move the shares today--then NTAP jumped. Now I'm hoping for NTAP to drop so I can move over some _cheaper_ shares (and pay less tax). DS was not saying to sell the shares, just move over 1/3 of the number I intend to move this year.

Gawd no, Len. i was memery sugesting that selling stocks from an IRA to move into Roth could be done in 1/3 increments.
