I see your point ecommerceman, but Diamond has a point. Etrade still needs to work on their system. I have revised my trading patterns around Etrades inability to be up at the most critical times. Therefore, I always set limits before market open it order for them to be triggered if things get crazy early (and, with so many idiots "investing" these days and creating ungodly amounts of shares traded in a day, this happens all the time) and also set limits near close in case the Etrade system goes down, or advises to call a brokers (which is amusing, since of course it is impossible to reach a brokers with the system down, much like trying to go through the Lincoln Tunnel these days with everyone else doing it)

I guess my point Diamond is I see what you mean, but Etrade obviously either can't make a system that functions perfectly (well, 99.9% uptime during a trading day anway) or refuse to do so because they are so focused on growing 1K accounts at the expense of pissing off larger account holders. Either way, that is the way it is with Etrade diamond.

e,

it goes down I post it, if it's repetitive, guess what? E*trade is down a lot. I don't make it up.

I have an Ameritrade account, it only holds my Intel, I have no $ in there nor will I, Ameritrade is flat out awful.

E*trade is great, it just frustrates me when it's down. imagine what I'll be writing when I want to trade and it's down. A co-worker the other day asked me where he should try for OLB, I told him they all have periods of problems but E*trade is where I would go, many improvements and according to the notice at the logon seems more are on the way.
