Re: #2. I ain't sure what you're talking about. But if it is what I think it might be, I was around in the early days of a certain thread... anyone rejected out of hand? Hardly. It was earned. Give it a rest. Make excuses and talk about how nice some people are in private. I was polite and decent and got ripped like the dickens.. rudely and crudely.. for my opinions. Rejected, yes. But for reason. And that's the end of that.

The thing that bugs me, finally, is not only the hypocrisy, in pretending that flaming was new, but the lack of willingness to take one's lumps. It is one thing to object to character assassination or mere shittiness, but I feel like certain folks can't stand being held accountable......... Just my opinion of course. JLA

I don't actually know what number two means (about "real life dilemmas" and responding "as they have been dealt with"), but I think you have a point in number one. It would probably be wisest on DAR not to mention feelies, even in the most general way, in public posts, I think.

But anyway, Edwarda, my sense of things-- this is a personal reaction-- is that you feel very bad that people whom you like pretty evidently don't all like each other very much. And your natural impulses toward mediation cause you to want to frame historical events in such a way that it lets you envision the possibility of conciliation.

But Edwarda, you must NOT worry about this. Just don't give it a thought! It isn't important. People are different, and they don't all like each other. And they don't have to, girlfriend! It's fine!
