Next Generation Storage. Glad Intel recognizes good Minnesotans when they see them. ;-)

Paul: Any guesses on the reason for INTC's crap performance of late. Is there a missile I haven't seen heading up our tail pipe? Seems to me that when you cut away all the BS the numbers will be great. Unit prices should be great as AMD hasn't started the price cutting because they are doing OK. I don't get it but I guess I never do when this kind of irrational pessimism develops. JFD

Paul and thread,

Itanium to exceed performance estimates

See zdnet.com

Apologies if this has already been posted, but I don't recall seeing it.

BTW, what are the ASPs for chips that sell into $100+K servers? Will they help Intel cope with their huge losses from the Athlon? :-)
