Quebec Language Minister
Louise Beaudoin has given Nintendo Co. and Sony Corp. three weeks
to comply with a law to distribute French-language versions of
their popular video games or to face fines of C$1,400 (US$903).

The dispute stems from Quebec's bid to protect its language
and culture, a goal that led the French-speaking province to
draft laws forcing companies to produce French packaging,
guarantees and versions of products.
