let's see 7*35= 245*52= under 13,000 a year that is before taxes..
doesn't sound scarey to me..
have never seen any numbers but I am assuming that after last recession a lot of people wound up with lower base wages when they found new jobs..
young college graduates and post grads are probably rolling in clover
though..
still think we are witnessing US becoming two class society
ps yesterday went to a local drug store..the young woman who was the cashier was expecting her baby in two weeks..
the fellow who sold me coffee this morning works 12 hours a day and probably makes less than 10 dollars an hour..he said better than welfare
Mexican workers were hired to repair the highrise I live in..they have been here almost two years now..no benefits..pay is better than in Mexico..gee..the company doesn't even seem to provide them with face masks when they are drilling out all the bricks..most of them
don't even wear gloves and have even been forced to work in freezing
weather over 20 stories up..
also so many people are pouring their money into vaporware..ie cellphones..those are coming down in price..the more people chasing what is in lately..instead of prices going up..prices are going down down..
friends of mine have put messages on their answering machines saying that this is a private phone and we don't respond to telemarketers-
also how many workers does an amazon.com need versus a borders for instance?
so many higher paid workers are so busy working and raising a family that they don't even have the time to go shopping or eating out
so many people now work out of their homes..another thing that hurts restaurants, dry cleaners, clothing retail etc
ps the obvious..so many people are using the net for entertainment..cost saving..especially when now so many isps are free-
and there are so many free offers on net
