Dutch central bank denies started planned gold sales already
Amsterdam--Dec 7--The Dutch central bank (DNB) denied Tuesday that it has
sold any gold as part of its planned 300-tonne-disposal over the next 5 years as
some in the market have speculated. The DNB said it will sell 100 tonnes next
year followed by 200 tonnes over the next 4 years. (Story .16797)

Bobby:

I am not sure we are seeing the deflationary forces win out on this one. In addition to wage increases, here in Maryland we are seeing a rapid increase in property values and a lot of new construction. Seems like every time I drive down the main drag here (york road) there is another shopping center, office building or some other development.

I think we have had asset inflation with the excess money going into the stock market. It is now starting to move out into the economy in general. Every country in the world seems to be printing money. Where will it go?

On your point about a 2 class society, I think you are probably right. The chasm between the haves and the have nots is growing. This is a natural result of an education system that can't educate. When I was young I may have been poor, but I got a decent education in elementry school and high school, which enabled me to go to college.

The poor in our country, just can't get that education, no matter how much Bill and the other pols claim they are for the kids or education. The tragedy is that our education system is run by self serving special interest groups and not for our kids. I attended a meeting in my community in which the principal of the new high school spoke for over a half an hour and the word "children" was not mentioned once.

So much for his commitment. Oh well, let me get of the soap box before they start throwing tomatoes.

Live long and prosper,

Little joe
