Chuzz, I darted in and out of YHOO last week and this week, selling today at 349 11/16. In at 230, 242, and 281.
Every now and then you have to roll the bones. the S&P effect was a no-brainer; the only question was how high it would go. I sold some at 310 then let the market demand take the rest. I never intended to hold it after today's close...
I put the money in INSP. One of the few profitable internet startups of 1999.
Don't you ever get the urge to roll the dice? <g>

I could not agree more.Every day I look at the market and say to myself that it has to correct soon.I believe that profit taking will occur very soon and to the tune of 10-12%.The closer we get to the end of the month, the more I feel it.
Cheers

chuz....bubble, bubble when will it burst...

70% fall or more....where have you been cat?...been there, done that....it already happened with many including aol and cmgi...... market just threw a tire patch on em, and blew em up again....

for thirty years i embraced fundamentals and buy and hold....used to buy shares in a company, have to admit things have changed, can only buy shares now...company has naught to do with anything....reality has gone away...only numbers that have any meaning is share price...

tough to swallow, but with the continual inflow of employer contributions it is more like a long ball funny money game...i'm dating myself, but my investments were with real earned money...

don't know if there is a bubble, low float issues run up due to lack of supply, when the momentum breaks it goes somewhere else.....but unlike days of old the "somewhere else" is not to bonds or the sidelines!!!!!.......right back to the next "momo de jour"

we had the 70% shakeout several times in the past few years...dell lost 50% on 10/9/98......uis a few months ago likewise....amzn, ebay, on and on.....they tasted blood and keep on going for the jugular....

it's a whole new world!

hope all is well...ed a.

CTC,

I agree. I hate this market. Fundamental analysis seems to have been thrown out the window. This seems to be more like playing the horses -- people just want to bet on the winners.
