Shoibal - Re: "In the same vein could one also add: Intel has refused to change its corporate name to intel.com :-)"

I hear you.

Just for the record, Intel's "investment" in Red Hat Software is now worth about $875,000,000 as of Today !

And that is only one of over 300 Intel investments !

I await the day that Intel spins out a tracking stock to meter its investment portfolio - and RETURN some ".com" money to us shareholders.

Paul

-OT- Since Intel's the sole red on my screen, here's some purely speculative thoughts:

Paranoid Theory 1: Intel's addition to the Dow was the kiss of death

Paranoid Theory 2: Gateway and Dell can have good days, but not on the same day. On any given day, bad news in either Gateway or Dell has to bring Intel down.

Paranoid Theory 3: If I sell Intel today, it will promptly rocket higher. If I buy more today, it will plummet. What if I sell some today, and then buy a lot more?

Any additions to this list are welcome!
