I think we all display a bit of favoritism; it's inevitable that we find ourselves liking some people more than others. I should not classify some of the posters as the "Truth Squad" any more than I should endorse some of the other groupings' less attractive nicknames.

I feel a great deal of personal and intellectual distaste for Daniel, so I am less likely to intervene on his behalf. One does not have to be a member of the "Truth Squad" to feel this way.

Haven't seen anyone "dumping on" Daniel, just the opposite.

Favoritism is nothing more than a guise for self promotion; always has been, always will be. BTW, I think I got assigned to the truth squad and I didn't dump on Daniel. I figure there will be plenty of chances for he and I to have our differences when the bandwagon passes.

What are your feelings about self promotion?
We couldn't have champions without it.
