Hi Jerry, If there's a dark spot with GSF it would be that as their long term bond portfolio matures and rolls over, it's possible they won't be able to maintain the $0.90/share dividend.

I think this is already priced into the fund. My guess is that GSF has been suffering from "Tax Loss Swapping"; a strategy where one sells stock at a loss and then buys a very similar vehicle to replace it. That way you don't have to be out of the stock for 32 days to keep the tax loss. Just replace one bond fund with another.

The new year should bring some relief assuming that Mr. Greenspan doesn't do a dance on the head of the Fed Funds Rate.
