I think I disagree with that premise, because TA is all about following what a stock actually does instead of fundamental analysis which argues that the stock can't be doing what it is doing for various fundamental reasons.

An automatic is that if a stock breaks out to a new high on good volume, you don't argue with it; you stop yourself out (if short).

As I recall many traditional fundamental measures stopped working
in 1992 when the dividend yield/t-bill ratio hit 3 or whatever and the market didn't back off like it was supposed to.
