Then: From 10Q 6/30/99:"Although iNEXTV is attempting to develop improvements in video quality in order to differentiate itself from its competitors, iNEXTV holds no proprietary technology and is not in a position to achieve dominance in any market segment of the Internet."

Now:NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)---Dec. 7, 1999-- iNEXTV.com, the premier global network of targeted video-based Web sites, announces the availability of online video that is significantly clearer, smoother and 50% larger than existing Internet video.

The proprietary technology was developed by iNEXTV parent Ampex Corporation (Amex:AXC - news).

Does anyone think they said "iNEXTV holds no proprietary technology" on the 10Q purposefully, inferring that Ampex was holding the "proprietary technology" all along?

Ampex, one of the world's leading innovators of technologies for the visual information age, has been a company at the forefront of technology breakthroughs for more than five decades. The new technology - using both server hardware and software - creates a much-improved Internet video experience for users with either broadband access or traditional Internet connections.

Looks to me like the image enhancement is done on the server end - could be a special image-enhancing card. Maybe MicroNet is providing RAID equipment to speed things up.

Here's to that party, Cards!

Of course several developments would have to unfold for that to happen, but it is not impossible nowadays.
