Jay,
<<I vaguely remember that SNDK has announced an agreement with some cell phone mfgrs.>>
Yes, when they rolled MMC out two[?] years ago, they announced it as a JV with Siemens, and I believe that Ericsson, Nokia, Motorola, maybe even some others, said that they would support it. I'm not sure what these recent announcements are about. A call to Cindy to clarify may be in order, though from the action of the stock, the implications of the announcements don't appear to be bad, to say the least.

Forget the nightmare, Jay. Eli has already commented on the fact that the Memory Stick is really too large for use in a cell phone. Given the trend toward miniaturization, nothing appears more suited to this market than the MMC, and especially in the larger capacities that are now available and which can be used for browser and e-mail files and other storage that would facilitate the use of cell phones for Internet and e-mail access.
