What I don't like is a recent management statement to the effect that they were proud to announce price reductions and virtually a simultaneous announcement that they are capacity limited.

cree also announced significant yield increases. with the new yield, cree is able to increase revenues and margins while reducing prices.
the forecast for next year is for a yield increase of 300%+.
and of course, production is increasing as well.

To some extent isn't it gorilla gaming to bring prices down to get the product more widely and quickly integrated and adopted in the market?

Lower prices lead to higher revenues and ultimately higer profits. My guess is that production capacity issues will be addressed fairly quickly.
