"CGI's expertise in LINUX" - now there's an interesting rumour to start! But we shouldn't be surprised since CGI says on its web site "Thanks to its critical mass and to the diversity of its client base, CGI has a full understanding of all areas of information technology." :-) Incidentally, Linux is all over the CBC National as I write - quite a buzz.

Which brings me to another thing I've had on my mind for a while now. I have yet to hear anything about CGI and a possible offering as an Application Service Provider (ASP). It seems to me that they'd be a natural to be a key player in this evolving area of IT services. Have you heard anything?

[Note for non-IT types: ASP involves the sharing of software on a host system over the Internet. For instance, rather than owning a copy of SAP on your equipment, you (and many other users) could connect up to CGI's equipment over the Internet and use a shared copy]
