Do you believe everything the RCMP and Globe and Mail say? Debit cards will continue but added precautions will be taken. We use to get the same PR on credit card fraud and behold, they still exist. Debit card skimming has been going on for years and the revelation from the Globe today is another pathetic attempt at sensationalism to sell more papers. Ever wonder why you can get a free copy on Bay Street? Do you not think the merchants are concerned that customers will switch back to more expensive credit cards at 1% interchange versus the 20 cents for debit cards? Look at internet security and the introduction of digital certificates and encryption.

Debit cards will continue, perhaps with biometrics to eliminate fraud, much like credit cards. That is why I have been long on the down and out biometric sector. Try IDX, ESAF in the U.S. or if you believe in miracles, MYT on the TSE. Someday, this may be the next "Linux" sector.

I've been wrong about 100 times in the past, but I think that when I look at the trading pattern, this stock could be getting ready for a major breakout...on the upside.

HYC up 13.1% today, after having fell back the last week or so. Moved on much higher than average volume....keeping my fingers crossed.
