Tony, it would have to do with the gain on the rumor amplification circuit on that day. Reading between the lines of what was on briefing.com it might have been much ado about nothing, but there's been plenty of adoing of the wrong kind all week long (of course it depends on your perspective and who your favourite chipmaker is). On the bright side, Intel did not significantly penetrate it's previous session low after the Nile's news hit the wires.
