It's Friday. I'm partying. Tomorrow is Saturday. I'm gonna party. Think I will on Wednesday, too. Just because it's Wed-nes-day. Who's Nes?

January 1 of the year 2000 is an arbitrary date. What could expect when your calendar is made by an ignorant miniature pagan monk based on an unknowable day. What was wrong with the Julian calendar of 365 days except it ran a little slow. Had we stuck to it, 1/1/2000 (Gregorian) would be 12/17/1999 (Julian), hardly worth celebrating. On the other hand, if we switched to Julian days (like computer scientists and astronomers), it would start on 2451544.5. Just another day.
