Why should I be unhappy? The notched gates are equally unmanufacturable as they were before and I can guarantee you that they won't be a feature once Intel goes to 193 nm and EUV lithography. At IEDM notched gates were more ridiculed than admired. Some people were commenting that defects became features. But on the other hand we use a similar defective nature to create nanocrystals for SET's.

What I'm more bothered than being unhappy is that the best DC performance devices, like Intel's, don't yield the fastest AC circuits.
