Reason I Left - They Burned All the Cash

The reason I originally invested when they were at 0.9 2 years ago was that they held lots of cash (I think it was 0.7 per share) and they had excellent potential (internet, interesting niche products). The cash is all gone. The products have been technical successes and commercial failures. At the present loss, they run out of cash in the new year. If management isn't now looking for a saviour company, they will be soon.

Once I started taking a closer look around the market, I noticed there are far better investments then this. Transalta is paying out a 7 % dividend and is at a market low. My favourite company, TRE, will earn $ 0.5 yet is selling at less than $ 1.5.

If we take out the internet/Linux stupidity (and I wish I was more stupid !), there are some excellent companies around at low valuations making real earnings.

KCA has run out of time to turn it around. They may attract a suitor with deep pockets, but they may also fold with a few companies feasting on the carcass. At this price level, you may wish to hold (I feel sorry for those that invested at $5 level a few years ago). I would not buy at this price - there are many other better deals right now.

Sorry,
Former Stock Owner
