marc: Well said. As for me, I'm not betting the mortgage payment or the baby's milk money on B2B IPOs. But I am willing to put some discretionary funds at risk on this sector. Looking back over the past decade, if I've made one big mistake as an investor it has been to exercise too much on the side of caution and not get in on the early days of the Yahoos, the AOLs, the CMGIs and countless others. Of course, hindsight is perfect. But if even a little bit of what I read and hear about B2B is true, this is the next area in the internet revolution where huge returns will be made -- if we can just separate the wheat from the chaff. Granted, that's a big "if".
