FROM THE DOWJONES.COM ARCHIVES Pivot Technologies Readies to Launch New Network & Systems Management Web Site with New Navigation Features Enabling Customers to Get Quicker Information Including Online Technical Support
VALLEY COTTAGE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 6, 1999--
- Introducing "THE INFORMER(R)" a Network & Systems Management clipboard - Delivers eShares's"Net Agent(R)" inclusive of on-line live services from Senior engineers on the web
Micros-To-Mainframes, Inc. (NASDAQ:MTMC), a leading provider of computer network engineering, network management, and consulting services, today announced that the newly reorganized subsidiary Pivot Technologies, Inc. ("Pivot") will release an enhanced Web Site in order to deliver expanded features of its Network & Systems Management offering.
Pivot Technologies(TM) has developed a proprietary Network & Systems Management solution and provides remote service management to corporate clients. The clients can range in size from small business to the Fortune 500. Presently, Pivot manages local and wide area networks and private virtual networks for national and international companies. The Internet is key to the reporting methodology of Pivot's technology.
Pivot Technologies, Inc.(TM) has expanded its service offerings with the introduction of The Informer(R) and the use of eShare's NetAgent(TM) in a new web site soon to be released. The new web site was featured last week at the Companies Technology Gala held at the New York City Marriott Marquis and received a positive response from our clients and vendor partners.
In order to continually improve our service and stay ahead of any competition, Pivot Technologies has created The Informer(R). The Informer is an electronic clipboard, which attaches itself to a network anomaly when detected and then is displayed on the customer's personalized Pivot hosted web page. Its primary use is for internal MIS customers who provide their own support enabling them to communicate amongst each without sending e-mail or leaving voice messages. It enables engineers and technicians to inform any other person looking for status of a network issue without having to track anyone down. The clipboard incorporates the changing of colors in order to denote various notations concerning the network and posts a numbering system depending on how many messages have been left on the board. The clipboard also turns red to let management know the issue has been escalated systematically.
In an effort to raise the level of support to their customers Pivot Technologies has incorporated the technology, Net Agent(TM) from eShare, the developers of e-chat. This will enable their customers to have instant access to an array of technical experts on-line to answer any questions regarding the data collected or services being provided. While viewing technical data a customer can engage with an engineer to answer questions from operating systems to configurations. In addition to technical support, anyone inquiring generally about our services or business development can engage online with a sales engineer to assist them.
"We are continually pursing and leveraging new technologies to increase the value of our services to our clients," stated Anthony Travaglini, Chief Technology Officer, about the company's remote managed service offerings. Mr. Travaglini continued, "The web site has a new look and feel. The new navigation capabilities make it easier for our customers to ascertain information about their network or systems. New functions and features are just a part of the new web service. We've added new summary pages allowing clients to view at a quick glance all of the statistical data about a managed device, alleviating the need to look at several pages for specific data."
Steven H. Rothman, CEO stated, "Pivot Technologies enhancements are only the beginning of our aggressive plan to invest and expand our "Pivot" offerings in order to capture the growing demand for Network Managed Services."
