While you may have a point that there is competition for advertising revenues, you may be short sighted from the point of view of expansion plans of YHOO! YHOO is here to stay for a long time to come and they are not hurting for money - they can buy the best management advice and tools there is in the market place - and they won't think twice for putting their resources together for sales and profit expansion - if AMZN keeps soaring without making a cent of profit for months to come, YHOO can soar simply on its credulous performance and running a good shop! I don't see much resistance between now and the end of January for more price appreciation. I would be seriously thinking about taking profits if its price goes over $ 450+! Just my 2 cents worth!

Director,
You make statments from time to time which are flat out wrong or not proovable.
please show the basis for this statement you made:
My point is that
I do not think that Yahoo! can keep charging high ad rates when web ad rates are
falling fast due to increased competition.

I would have thought that their ad rates were increasing, not decreasing. Please provide a link to support your assertion, or is this another one of your fabricated statements.

p.s. here's a tip for you. Sites that attract more eyeballs than others are able to charge more than the lesser sights for adds...Did you already know that?

Has anyone on this board paid one red cent to Yahoo!?

I have. Eyeballs of course justify their ad rates, but I've also clicked an ad, probably once per month. One of those even led to a purchase. And I bought one thing I could find online only through Yahoo's shopping.
