Altera has had some delays in delivering their latest software upgrades. From what I gather, Xilinx should be able to maintain their lead for another 6 months. However, both are growing at very healthy rates. Re: "any thoughts about Rodney Smith retiring as President." Yes. He's retiring about 6 1/2 years too late (I believe 2001 is his retirement date). He won't be missed by many people. Paul
