That same "betterment of society" argument holds for affirmative action too.

I am not against these laws... what I am trying to point out is that I see a whole group of people drive home social engineering as it pertains to their ideals while at the same time denouncing every other program with a different objective, even though some were highly effective.

Hewlett-Packard benefitted a lot from affirmative action...after all their CEO is probably one of the top 5 businesswomen in the country now... Title 9 benefitted women's sports, we got a great soccer team. If people are for these things, and also for protective family legislation, well then I say fine.

X, it is my opinion that any woman who has a baby and then turns it over to a day care center when the baby is six weeks old so that she can continue her career is an UNFIT mother. If a mother can't stay home with her child until it is five years old, she has no business having a baby to begin with. It is pure selfishness on the part of the mother with no regard whatsoever to the child. This is one of the worst forms of child neglect.
