I have grandchildren ;-) Yes there have been cases where they have started the Investigation process on that issue which led to more serious problems in the home and on and on..There was a very Historical case of a two year old..Little Baby McGee who had just been returned to his parents via the legal system..after
being in a foster home over parental abuse... His "father" picked him up by the feet at the age of two and dashed him up and down in the toilet..He died from the Injuries...It turned this state upside down in the legal Protective arena...

I can tell you, without naming names, that I am aware of a case where a child was put into foster care because the stepfather disciplined him with a leather belt, after the child had been caught doing something really wrong, like vandalism or shoplifting.

The child was eventually returned to the mother and stepfather, but I remember the judge was really upset with the stepfather for using a belt on the boy.
