Sea Otter, I agree that Islam is by far the best documented
of the major religions. I particularly like reading the Koran...lots of good advice in there. I wish I could read it in Arabic as I am told it reads like Shakespeare. Yet here too the beauty of the faith gets corrupted by temporal powers. One only need travel to Pakistan to see the horrible plight of women in that country, let alone travel to Afganistan. This is not what Muhammad teaches, yet it is the historical by-product of years of human interpretation of Islam. I believe in the spiritual, I will not, however, even try to define it. All religion becomes corrupt once man defines it to suit his own purposes. None of us know the REAL TRUTH, it is all just speculation. Any serious study of the origins of religion will lead to that
conclusion...or at least should, in my view.

I thought Islam DID teach the virgin birth. Let me ask you a question or two. You follow Mohammad who (as you probably know) married his nephew's wife. Isn't that adultery? Didn't Jesus teach against that? And doesn't Mohammad respect the teachings of Christ as well as Moses? Also, he married a 13 year old when he was well into middle age, if I'm not mistaken.

I know when Malcolm X spoke against Elijah Mohammed's similar "weaknesses" he was permanently silenced. Seems to me like the same "spirit" was in both of these so-called prophets: Not to mention the spirit of murder that has followed Islam throughout the ages and continues to this day among many of its most ardent followers. Look at Iran. Look at Iraq. It's all about dominance and control. BTW, is it possible that some of the growth in Islam is due to the slaughter of those that oppose it? Look what's happened in Indonesia, the Sudan etc...

Things done in the name of Christianity have also had its dark moments. I'm not denying it. I also will not deny the fact that one becomes a "new creation" when Christ enters him. And those TRULY touched by Christ will NOT force their views on others. They do not put children in chains forcing them to memorize scripture.

As for Islam as well as any "belief" system that strives by forcing people to adhere, it will fail. Christ will rule. His Kingdom WILL be established, for His IS a Kingdom of Righteousness. Islam's kingdom is false for there is no true freedom in it. How can someone be free if he just hopes in Allah's mercy? Is it guaranteed? How does Allah deal with the sin issue if he is holy?

Daily, there are many who are finding out that not only is the True God holy and righteous, but He is also loving and tender. Can you speak with your god as with a friend? Do you know his ways? Do you know the heart of Allah?

There are a million Chinese a month converting to Christianity. They're bearing the scars of communist China, but they are already victorious, for they are free within.

Christians are mistreated in Islamic countries as well, but freedom comes with a price and the price is well worth it because they KNOW THEY HAVE THE SAVIOR who has freed them from the bondage of sin and death. This kind of freedom, no one can take away. And it is offered by no other than through Jesus Christ. "Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved." Acts 4:12

Sea Otter, you are not qualified to tell people anything about Jesus Christ.

(No one believed *that*, least
of all Christ).

The above statement is a downright lie.

Christianity takes the true view, that Christ is the Son of God.

SOb,it looks like you intended this post for Lo,but it is your misfortune to address it to me. All Islam wants to do is murder Christians and Jews by constantly hollering for Jihad. What else would one expect of the bastard son of a slave like Ishmael. I'll admit that the early Catholic church did some things that are not condoned my many of the Christians of today but, we are trying to reverse that. When you say Christianity is waning, you had better wake up, smell the coffee, and look again. You should feel lucky that the American Christians have held Israel back from sweeping every arab moslem off the face of the earth. TD
